Role PurposeSQL Server/MySQL/Cosmos DBA needs to work in shift operating in 24 x 7 x 365 environment and responsible for planning, configuring, maintaining, and high availability of databases without any DB performance issues.
DBA needs to be very technical to resolve any DB incident promptly and key responsible for any downtime of SQL databases not to impact on client business critical DB applications.
- Execute error free and efficient day‑to‑day approved operation tasks
- Applying SQL DB patching and upgrades EOL databases
- Achieve a satisfactory rating by Internal Audit and Risk/Compliance function
- Awareness and adoption of latest technology
- Availability of data bases. Cost effective resource usage
- Prepare and send daily and monthly Availability report to IT Management
- Satisfactory assessment of progress by supervisors
- Good knowledge in Always On.
- Configure and maintain SQL database servers
- Manage capacity planning
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Analyze, resolve the issues in real time
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Track issues, and document changes
- Automate regular processes
- Assist developers with query tuning and DB refinement
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Minimum 5 years in SQL Server DBA (preferred in Banking experience as a SQL DBA).
