Cloudera Data Platform Engineer

We're looking for on-site Cloudera Engineer with strong hands-on experience in CDP, who is comfortable working across both Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering within an enterprise Big Data environment.

Profiles without practical Cloudera experience will not be considered.

• Develop and support ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache NiFi, Spark/PySpark, Oozie/Airflow, and related technologies.
• Support and maintain enterprise Cloudera (CDP) production environments.
• Monitor platform health, availability, performance, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot platform, application, infrastructure, and data-related issues.
• Perform production support, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution.
• Optimize data processing jobs and platform performance.
• Support Kafka and real-time data processing workloads.
• Perform platform upgrades, patching, maintenance, and configuration changes.
• Automate operational tasks using Shell Scripting and/or Python.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them through to successful completion.
