Senior Solutions Architect

Quantum Gate is dedicated to developing and commercializing cutting-edge post-quantum cryptographic solutions. Our mission is to safeguard enterprise digital environments through innovative protocols and applications that address the evolving challenges of the post-quantum era.

We are currently looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to develop new capacities at Quantum Gate, so that we can architect software solutions that integrate Salina with each customer’s specific software systems. In this sense, we would like to welcome a person in the team that can guide us through the whole lifecycle of architecting a specific solution, starting with the identification of the needs of the customer, being able to architect a specific software solution together with our software engineering team, and manage its development and deployment in an agile way.

At the same time, the Senior Solutions Architect should be able to assist in the development of the additional software components needed for the solution, as well as in the installation and troubleshooting of the same either remotely, in the cloud or at customer’s facilities.

• Identify, together with members of the sales and product teams, the needs of each customer; focusing on architecting a software solution that fills the gap between our customers’ needs and the latest version of Salina.
• Lead the discussion of the proposed solution with the infrastructure and software development teams, managing to define the changes that are needed for each customer, and to schedule its implementation with the help of the scrum master, any involved engineering leads and the product owner.
• Continuously review the latest status of the architecture for the Salina system, identifying early changes and their potential impact on already deployed solutions.
• Work as a customer advocate, pushing the development and infrastructure teams into implementing the best solution for the customer.
• Optionally, support the development of the infrastructure and software elements needed for the identified solution.

• Core Skills (must have)
• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer
• Experience troubleshooting at customer’s facilities or in cloud environments
• Agile project management capabilities using Jira and Confluence
• Experience integrating complex software systems with one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend software development
• Optional Skills (nice to have)
• Experience programming in Java or Kotlin
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform and/or other enterprise grade platforms
• Cloud Engineering Qualifications from GCP, AWS, Azure or Hashi Corp.

• MsC or PhD degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, Telematics or any other software related discipline.
