Cybersecurity Consultant – Offensive Security (Cyber Test & Evaluation
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, application security testing, mobile application security, cloud security assessments, source code reviews, or related cybersecurity disciplines
Skills/Certifications
- Strong understanding of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and application security principles.
- Experience with common security assessment tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, web technologies and cloud platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) or (OSCP+) are highly desirable.
Job Purpose
Responsible for planning and executing penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, application security reviews, cloud security assessments and adversary simulation activities across a variety of client environments.
The Consultant is expected to independently deliver security testing engagements, identify and validate vulnerabilities, develop clear and actionable reports and support clients in understanding security risks and remediation priorities. The role requires strong technical capability, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality delivery standards.
The Consultant contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, testing methodologies, automation efforts and the advancement of Cyber Test & Evaluation capabilities.
