Talent Arabia is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator specializing in UNIX, Linux, and Enterprise Storage technologies to support a leading banking institution in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining mission‑critical infrastructure, ensuring platform availability, security, performance, and operational resilience across enterprise banking environments.

As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing enterprise UNIX/Linux platforms and storage infrastructure that support critical banking applications and services. You will be responsible for server administration, storage management, system monitoring, automation, security hardening, backup and disaster recovery operations, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Working closely with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams, you will ensure high levels of availability, performance, and compliance across the technology landscape.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands‑on experience with enterprise Linux environments, storage technologies, scripting, and banking‑sector operational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a highly regulated and mission‑critical financial services environment.

• Administer and maintain UNIX and Linux servers across enterprise environments
• Manage partitions, file systems, Logical Volume Management (LVM), and storage allocations
• Administer and support Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) platforms
• Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and infrastructure availability
• Perform operating system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and security hardening activities
• Develop automation scripts to streamline administration and operational processes
• Troubleshoot operating system, storage, and infrastructure‑related issues
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
• Ensure compliance with security policies, banking regulations, and operational standards
• Conduct system performance tuning and capacity planning activities
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational guides
• Provide technical support and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve incidents

• 5-10 years of experience in UNIX/Linux Systems Administration
• Mandatory experience within the Banking or Financial Services sector
• Strong hands‑on experience administering Enterprise Linux environments
• Expertise in UNIX/Linux server management and troubleshooting
• Experience managing file systems, partitions, and Logical Volume Management (LVM)
• Strong knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies
• Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong understanding of system performance monitoring and optimization
• Experience implementing operating system security hardening and vulnerability remediation
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure operations and high‑availability environments
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• CompTIA Linux+ Certification
• VMware administration experience and certification
• Experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise storage architectures
• Knowledge of ITIL-based operational support environments
• Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements within banking institutions
