Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is a publicly funded research institute, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Functional Activities- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git Lab CI.
- Drive Git Ops practices for deployment and configuration management.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, or other distributions).
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate operational processes with Bash scripting and other scripting languages.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth software delivery.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production systems.
- Manage and optimize deployments in AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, etc.).
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Dev Ops practices, automation, and team processes.
- Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, monitoring).
- Experience with Git Ops workflows and tools such as Argo CD or FluxCD.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD).
- Strong expertise in Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Advanced Bash scripting and general Linux systems administration skills.
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and microservices best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related STEM discipline
- Any Dev Ops / Development / System Engineering certification would be a plus
