Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect
This is a chance to build the cloud foundations behind one of Abu Dhabi’s most ambitious new AI environments. You’ll join a well‑funded AI hub at an early stage of its growth, taking ownership of the Azure infrastructure that wider engineering and delivery teams will build on. This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a mature cloud environment and simply keep it running.
You’ll be designing and building the foundations from the ground up, making the key architectural decisions and setting the standards for how cloud infrastructure is delivered across the organisation.
You’ll take full ownership of the Azure architecture, covering everything from core platform design and networking through to security, automation and Infrastructure as Code. A major part of the role will be building scalable, secure Azure foundations that can support fast‑growing AI and technology teams, while making sure the environment is designed properly from day one. You’ll work hands‑on with Azure networking, firewalls, Terraform and scripting, while also setting the wider technical direction and standards for the cloud environment.
This is a senior role for someone who still wants to stay close to the technology and enjoys building infrastructure rather than simply overseeing it.
- 10+ years' experience across cloud infrastructure, with deep Azure expertise.
- Strong experience designing and building cloud environments from scratch.
- Proven ownership of large-scale cloud architecture.
- Deep Azure networking knowledge, including Azure Firewall configuration.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform.
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Comfortable operating in a hands‑on lead or architecture role with significant technical ownership.
You’ll receive a highly competitive tax‑free package with strong UAE benefits, while joining a well‑founded AI organisation at a stage where there is plenty of scope to influence how the platform is built and how the wider cloud function develops.
