Position Summary:

Nagarro is seeking a skilled, highly technical, and accomplished Data Engineer with strong expertise in Informatica and Microsoft Fabric to support a strategic data modernization initiative onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this critical data engineering and migration role, you will spearhead the migration of existing data warehouse workloads from Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric, design and optimize scalable data pipelines, and modernize legacy ETL/ELT workflows.

You will work closely with cross-functional business stakeholders, database administrators, and technical teams to ensure a seamless migration with minimal business disruption. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic foundation in computer science, deep practical mastery of enterprise data platforms, and immediate availability to join within 15 days.

As a Data Engineer at Nagarro in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you will take full ownership of designing, building, and optimizing modern data architectures on the Microsoft cloud data platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass migrating complex data warehouse workloads from Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric, modernizing ETL/ELT processes, and implementing enterprise-grade data integration solutions. You will perform rigorous performance tuning and optimization of large-scale data workloads, resolve data pipeline bottlenecks, and ensure uncompromised data integrity.

Working in a fast-paced client environment, you will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive successful project delivery and adhere to strict enterprise data governance standards.

• Lead the migration of existing enterprise data warehouse workloads from Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric.
• Design, build, test, and optimize scalable data pipelines and distributed data ingestion workflows.
• Modernize legacy ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns to leverage cloud-native capabilities.
• Implement enterprise-grade data solutions and analytics architecture on the Microsoft data platform.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and resource tuning of complex data workloads.
• Ensure a seamless data migration lifecycle with minimal business disruption and zero data loss.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, technical stakeholders, and enterprise architects to drive delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, data lineage maps, and pipeline architecture diagrams.
• Ensure strict adherence to enterprise security baselines, data confidentiality, and governance standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, database administration, or business intelligence development.
• Strong hands-on professional expertise with Microsoft Fabric and Informatica data integration tools.
• Deep practical knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics and cloud-native data warehousing architectures.
• Extensive background in ETL/ELT development, data migration, and data integration workflows.
• Proven proficiency in performance optimization, query tuning, and enterprise data platform management.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Professional availability for deployment in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a preferred notice period of 15 days or immediate joining.

• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Data Engineer Associate or Informatica Certified Professional.
• Experience with modern data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview or Apache Atlas.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and Apache Airflow.
• Prior working experience in multinational IT consultancies, digital transformation agencies, or enterprise banking sectors.
