Job Description:
As a Senior Delivery Manager – IB & Global Market in Abu Dhabi, you will serve as the principal project leadership authority responsible for driving full life-cycle implementations of mission-critical financial systems. Your daily responsibilities will encompass managing cross-functional technical teams, overseeing project plans, resource allocations, issue resolution, and change management for global market platforms. You will direct the integration of disparate trading and risk systems with core banking architectures, enforce rigorous delivery standards under tight deadlines, and communicate project status to executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT projects for Global Markets, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking.
- Oversee full life-cycle implementation of global market IT solutions including trade booking systems and electronic trading platforms.
- Manage enterprise-grade risk management systems, accounting applications, and middle/back-office financial software.
- Direct complex system integrations connecting trading platforms with core banking infrastructure and third-party vendors.
- Exercise expert leadership across planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, issue resolution, and change management.
- Drive stakeholder management and maintain transparent communication channels with C-level executives and business leads.
- Ensure strict adherence to financial regulatory standards, security compliance, and project risk mitigation protocols.
- Deliver complex technical solutions effectively under high pressure and tight project delivery deadlines.
- Mentor project managers, technical leads, and engineering teams to foster high performance and continuous delivery.
- Author comprehensive project charters, executive status reports, governance frameworks, and delivery runbooks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Postgraduate degree or professional qualification in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional work experience managing and delivering technology projects in a major bank or IT services company.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale projects specifically for Global Markets and Investment Banking.
- Deep specialized knowledge of Global Markets products, financial instruments, and front-to-back trading workflows.
- Proven experience implementing trade booking systems, electronic trading, risk management, and accounting systems.
- Strong expertise integrating diverse software solutions with core banking platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and team-building capabilities.
- Mandatory residency/work authorization:
Ability to operate on-site in Abu Dhabi.
Skills:
- Professional project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Scrum Master (ASM).
- Prior experience leading digital transformation or cloud migration programs within tier-1 global banks.
- Familiarity with modern real-time financial messaging standards (FIX protocol, SWIFT) and low-latency architectures.
- Immediate availability for local mobilization in Abu Dhabi.
