Position Summary:
Quantum Talent Group is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Dev Ops Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure automation and site reliability engineering to join our client project team on an urgent 12-month contract basis in Abu Dhabi, UAE, open to candidates who are already based in the UAE only. In this specialized cloud infrastructure and automation role, you will spearhead designing, implementing, and scaling robust CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration platforms, and cloud-native infrastructure across enterprise environments.
You will work closely with software development squads, security teams, and system architects to ensure high system availability, security compliance, and deployment velocity. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic background in computer science or engineering, deep practical mastery of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure-as-code, and immediate availability for deployment in Abu Dhabi.
Job Description:
As a Dev Ops Engineer at Quantum Talent Group in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you will take full ownership of automating software delivery life cycles, maintaining cloud infrastructure reliability, and optimizing system performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, administering Kubernetes clusters, configuring robust CI/CD deployment pipelines via Git Hub Actions or Git Lab CI, and implementing comprehensive observability stacks.
You will collaborate with engineering teams to enforce security hardening standards, manage container registries, conduct disaster recovery testing, and streamline incident response workflows. Working in a fast-paced client-facing environment requiring UAE residency for a 12-month contract, you will drive operational excellence and infrastructure scalability.
- Design, provision, and manage scalable cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules and automated provisioning workflows using Terraform and Ansible.
- Build, scale, and optimize robust CI/CD deployment pipelines utilizing Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, or Jenkins.
- Administer enterprise containerization platforms and orchestration clusters using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability telemetry using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog.
- Enforce robust cloud security baselines, IAM policies, network segmentation, and vulnerability remediation protocols.
- Collaborate closely with software development squads, QA engineers, and security teams to accelerate feature delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive reliability measures.
- Manage container registries, SSL certificates, DNS configurations, and domain routing.
- Maintain comprehensive technical architecture diagrams, infrastructure runbooks, and disaster recovery recovery plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 4+ years of professional Dev Ops and cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
- Strong programming proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Deep practical experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tooling, specifically Terraform and Ansible.
- Extensive hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline automation and Git Ops workflows (ArgoCD, Git Hub Actions).
- Professional availability for a 12-month contract engagement in Abu Dhabi, UAE (Candidates based in UAE only).
Skills:
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer Professional, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, or CKA. - Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and zero-trust network architectures.
- Familiarity with Fin Ops practices, cloud cost optimization, and resource capacity planning.
- Prior working experience in multinational enterprises, banking sector IT, or high-growth tech consultancies.
- Strong background in implementing ISO 27001 or SOC 2 security compliance controls.
