A leading organization is seeking a Cyber Security and Threat Monitoring Specialist – SOC to support security monitoring and threat detection operations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on monitoring the organization’s security environment, identifying potential cyber threats, investigating security alerts, and coordinating appropriate incident response activities.

The successful candidate will perform SIEM alert triage and investigation using platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and IBM QRadar. The role also involves coordinating incident response in alignment with NIST SP 800-61 practices and preparing threat intelligence reports for senior security leadership, including the CISO and risk committees.

• Perform SIEM alert triage, investigation, and prioritization.
• Monitor security environments to identify potential cyber threats and suspicious activities.
• Investigate security alerts using Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and IBM QRadar

• Analyze security events and determine their potential impact and severity.
• Coordinate incident response activities in accordance with NIST SP 800-61 best practices.
• Support the identification, investigation, and escalation of security incidents.
• Prepare threat intelligence reports for the CISO and risk committees.
• Identify and communicate emerging threats, security trends, and potential risks.
• Document security investigations, findings, and response activities.
• Collaborate with relevant security and IT teams during incident handling.
• Provide clear and concise summaries of security threats and trends to security leadership.
• Support continuous improvement of SOC monitoring and incident-handling processes.
• Maintain awareness of evolving cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and defensive practices.

• Hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.
• Strong experience with SIEM alert monitoring, triage, and investigation.
• Practical knowledge of one or more of the following:
  • Splunk
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • IBM QRadar
• Understanding of incident response processes and NIST SP 800-61
  .
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Ability to identify, prioritize, and communicate security threats effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear technical and threat intelligence reports.
• Ability to work effectively with security teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with in a banking or financial-services security environment would be advantageous.
