Service Now Self-Hosted Architect Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Now Self-Hosted Architect to provide strategic, architectural, and technical leadership for self-hosted Service Now environments. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in infrastructure architecture, platform operations, security, and Service Now ecosystem management. You will be responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing self-hosted Service Now deployments, ensuring the platform remains scalable, highly available, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture and operational requirements.

• Define and maintain the architecture, standards, and governance model for self-hosted Service Now environments.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure architectures supporting Service Now production and non-production environments.
• Develop hosting strategies covering high availability, disaster recovery, backup, capacity planning, and business continuity.
• Establish platform standards, design principles, and operational guardrails to support long-term sustainability and growth.
• Evaluate infrastructure technologies and deployment approaches to improve platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Lead the design and governance of Service Now infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, operating systems, databases, and virtualization platforms.
• Define environment strategies across Development, Test, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production landscapes.
• Oversee platform upgrades, patching strategies, release management, and environment refresh activities.
• Ensure platform sizing, capacity planning, performance optimization, and resource utilization align with business requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance for MID Server deployments and supporting infrastructure components.

• Define and enforce platform security architecture, hardening standards, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security, privacy, audit, and regulatory frameworks.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, resilience testing, and recovery readiness activities.
• Review and govern infrastructure changes to ensure platform stability, security, and compliance.
• Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure risk management initiatives.

• Define infrastructure and network connectivity patterns for integrations between Service Now and enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure architecture alignment across the enterprise ecosystem.
• Ensure infrastructure supports integration requirements, data exchange, platform monitoring, and operational management.
• Provide architectural oversight for enterprise monitoring, logging, observability, and platform health management solutions.

• Partner with infrastructure, security, cloud, operations, and enterprise architecture teams to develop and execute hosting strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform administrators, engineers, and operational support teams.
• Communicate platform architecture, risks, operational health, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical governance forums, and infrastructure design workshops.

• Stay current with Service Now platform requirements, infrastructure technologies, cloud strategies, and industry best practices.
• Identify opportunities to modernize infrastructure, improve resilience, automate operational processes, and optimize platform performance.
