Position Summary
Iconic IT is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Cloud Fin Ops Analyst with over 5 years of total professional IT experience and 3+ years dedicated to cloud financial management, cloud cost optimization, and financial governance to join our client team on an onsite, full-time basis in Abu Dhabi, UAE, requiring an immediate to 30 days notice period. In this specialized cloud financial operations role, you will spearhead managing cloud expenditure, optimizing resource utilization across AWS, Azure, OCI, and Google Cloud, and driving Fin Ops methodologies and practices.
You will work closely with C-level finance leaders, cloud architects, Dev Ops squads, and software engineering teams to align cloud investments with business value. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic background in finance, computer science, or engineering, deep practical mastery of multi-cloud cost management tools and API-based pricing models, and immediate availability for deployment in Abu Dhabi.
Job Description
As a Cloud Fin Ops Analyst at Iconic IT in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you will take full ownership of analyzing cloud spend, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing robust cloud financial management frameworks across multi-cloud environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass monitoring cost attribution and chargeback models, auditing resource allocation across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP, and managing SaaS and API-based pricing models such as Copilot, SMS, email, bots, and cloud virtual desktops.
You will collaborate closely with Dev Ops and cloud infrastructure teams to establish budgeting guardrails, enforce compliance policies, and drive cost optimization without compromising system performance. Working in a fast-paced onsite environment requiring local availability in Abu Dhabi, you will accelerate financial accountability and operational efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end cloud financial management, cost optimization, and Fin Ops practices across multi-cloud enterprise environments.
- Analyze and monitor cloud expenditure, cost allocation, variance reports, and chargeback/showback models across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP.
- Manage and optimize SaaS and API-based pricing models including Git Hub Copilot, SMS gateways, email APIs, bots, and cloud virtual desktops.
- Partner closely with Dev Ops, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering squads to establish resource tagging and cost accountability.
- Implement Fin Ops methodologies, budget forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated cost-saving recommendations.
- Evaluate reserved instances (RIs), savings plans, spot instances, and rightsizing opportunities to maximize cloud ROI.
- Ensure robust adherence to cloud security, governance, and compliance considerations during cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance and executive leadership to present monthly cloud spend analysis and financial forecasting reports.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track cloud efficiency, unit economics, and cost-per-transaction ratios.
- Maintain comprehensive Fin Ops documentation, cost-governance runbooks, and stakeholder reporting dashboards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of total professional IT experience, with at least 3+ years dedicated to cloud financial management, cost optimization, or Fin Ops.
- Deep practical experience with multi-cloud cost management platforms across AWS, Azure, OCI, and Google Cloud.
