Service Now UI/UX Consultant Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and user-focused Service Now UI/UX Consultant with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and Service Now user experiences. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge business requirements, user needs, and platform capabilities to deliver intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences across the Service Now ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders, developers, product owners, and architects to optimize employee and customer interactions across Service Now applications and portals.
Key Responsibilities- Design and enhance user experiences across Service Now applications, including Employee Center, Service Portal, Workspace experiences, Catalogs, Knowledge Management, and custom applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and end users to gather requirements and understand user journeys, pain points, and usability challenges.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, journey maps, and design mockups that align with business objectives and platform standards.
- Configure and optimize Service Now user interfaces using UI Builder, Employee Center, Service Portal, Work spaces, and Next Experience capabilities.
- Ensure consistency in design patterns, branding, navigation structures, and user interactions across the platform.
- Conduct usability reviews, user testing sessions, and design validation activities to continuously improve the user experience.
- Work closely with technical consultants and developers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with Service Now best practices.
- Support accessibility, responsiveness, and performance considerations in accordance with organizational and industry standards.
- Contribute to design governance, style guides, and UX standards for enterprise-wide Service Now implementations.
- Stay informed on Service Now platform enhancements, UX trends, and emerging design practices.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, digital experience design, or Service Now experience design roles.
- Experience designing user experiences for Service Now platforms, including Employee Center, Service Portal, Work spaces, or custom applications.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, information architecture, usability principles, and interaction design.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user journey maps, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Service Now UI Builder, Next Experience, Work spaces, Employee Center, and Service Portal capabilities.
- Understanding of accessibility standards, responsive design principles, and mobile-first design approaches.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and architects in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design decisions and gain stakeholder alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
Service Now CSA certification and UX-related certifications are a plus.
