- Install, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair computer networks and workstations.
- Support server systems, associated hardware and software, user accounts, and computer and telephone rooms.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving computer hardware, software, LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity.
- Respond to system and program error messages and take appropriate troubleshooting action.
- Provide network communications support and technical guidance to users.
- Escalate major technical problems to appropriate vendors or technicians when required.
- Train and instruct users in the correct and secure use of hotel technology systems.
- Provide end-user support across applications and computing systems.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems to identify technical faults.
- Assess computing needs and system requirements in consultation with users and other stakeholders.
- Analyze existing technology processes and recommend practical improvements.
- Plan and coordinate IT equipment installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
- Manage disk-space requirements across the network.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of technological devices and equipment.
- Operate computer systems and equipment using appropriate commands and controls.
- Ensure backup tapes are securely stored in a fireproof safe.
- Identify and implement improvements that can strengthen organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost management.
- Protect company assets and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Assist colleagues and respond appropriately to guest service needs.
- Follow company quality, safety, and operating standards while performing other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
