Field Engineer - Sites; Resident

Act as the resident single point of IT accountability for one Large school or office owning the full local technology estate and the relationship with site leadership Covers 86 sites with 86 engineers at a 1 1 ratio
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Own end-to-end IT service delivery for the assigned site and act as the primary interface to the school principal or office head
- Administer the local server room
- Windows Server estate backups UPS patching capacity monitoring environmental checks - Manage the full device estate lifecycle on site including refresh projects and bulk deployments
- Own availability of AV and classroom technology across all teaching spaces
- Provide first-line network support and coordinate with central network teams on escalations
- Own site-level computer lab management including imaging cycles and examination configuration
- Produce site-level service reporting for the Zone Lead covering volumes SLA attainment and risks
- Act as on-site coordinator during major incidents and examination periods
- Own local asset accuracy CMDB currency spares holding and consumables
- Manage on-site vendor and OEM attendance access and sign-off
- Windows 10 11 estate management to an advanced level
- Windows Server - independent day-to-day administration patching backup and restore troubleshooting
- Active Directory Group Policy DNS and DHCP administration and troubleshooting
- Microsoft 365 - Exchange Online Teams One Drive SharePoint support and administration
- Networking - TCP IP VLANs switch and access point configuration Wi-Fi optimisation basic firewall concepts
- Deployment tooling - SCCM Intune imaging and application packaging
