Business Consultant, IT Business Analyst

We are looking for a senior
Capital Markets Business Consultant
to act as a trusted client-side advisor and Subject Matter Expert during the implementation of
Orchestrade and Spider Rock
.

You will represent the client’s interests, translate business needs into clear requirements and ensure that vendor-delivered solutions meet the agreed scope, quality and functional expectations.

This is not a software development role.

• Act as the client’s subject matter expert throughout the implementation.
• Gather requirements from Trading, Risk, Operations and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Review and constructively challenge vendor proposals and deliverables.
• Identify functional gaps, risks and inconsistencies and drive their resolution.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, delivered functionality and acceptance.
• Prepare and execute UAT scenarios across the trade lifecycle.
• Validate trade capture, execution, valuation, P&L, limits, risk calculations, data and integrations.
• Track defects, verify fixes and provide recommendations for functional acceptance.
• Support system configuration, change requests, go-live, hypercare and knowledge transfer.
• Provide clear updates and recommendations to client stakeholders.

• At least5 years of experience
  in Capital Markets, Trading Technology or Investment Banking.
• Strong knowledge of equities, options, derivatives and risk management.
• Solid understanding of the complete trade lifecycle, including trade capture, execution, valuation, P&L, limits, risk and settlement.
• Senior experience with
  Orchestrade
  or a comparable platform such as
  Murex, Calypso, Summit, Sophis or Kondor+.
• Proven experience in business analysis, functional consulting or trading-system implementations.
• Hands-on experience with requirements management, vendor delivery review and UAT.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both business and technical.
• Willingness to work
  100% onsite in Abu Dhabi for 6–12 months or longer
  .

• Direct experience with Orchestrade.
• Experience with Spider Rock or another algorithmic trading, options-execution, OMS or EMS platform.
• Previous experience representing a client during a vendor-led implementation.
• Knowledge of SQL, FIX protocol, APIs and system integrations.
• Ability to analyse system logs and validate data.
• Python or similar scripting experience for testing, reconciliation or data analysis.

• Assertive and confident communicator who can challenge vendors constructively.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking.
• Detail-oriented, independent and focused on delivery quality.
• Able to communicate effectively with traders, risk specialists, IT teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• A key client-side role in a strategic Capital Markets transformation programme.
• Direct involvement in the implementation of Orchestrade and Spider Rock.
• A long-term international assignment with the possibility of extension.
