Infrastructure and Platform Engineer; Banking Domain

Iconic IT Consulting Service LLC is actively seeking an experienced, high-caliber, and technical Infrastructure and Platform Engineer with 8+ years of professional experience (6-12+ years preferred) within the banking domain to support our premier banking client in Abu Dhabi on a 12-month contract basis with possible extension. In this critical cloud-native infrastructure role, you will be responsible for building and operating resilient cloud-native infrastructure hosting modular banking APIs, event streams, and integration workloads.

As an Infrastructure and Platform Engineer supporting a major banking client in Abu Dhabi with Iconic IT Consulting Service LLC, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of cloud-native platform engineering, infrastructure automation, resilience management, and AI-assisted operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities include provisioning and operating Azure, Kubernetes, Open Shift, and integration infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and platform automation, managing availability, scaling, backup and disaster recovery, supporting observability and capacity management, and hardening environments.

Furthermore, you will utilize AI-assisted operations for log analysis, incident correlation, runbook support, and infrastructure-code review under controlled access. You will manage application requirements via direct email to hr1 or via Linked In messaging, ensuring strict compliance with immediate availability or a maximum 1-month notice period.

• Build, configure, and operate resilient cloud-native infrastructure hosting modular banking APIs, events, and complex integration workloads.
• Provision and operate Azure cloud services, Kubernetes/Open Shift container platforms, and enterprise integration infrastructure.
• Implement and scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and advanced platform automation pipelines.
• Manage high availability, auto-scaling policies, backup redundancy, and comprehensive disaster recovery frameworks.
• Support platform observability, metric monitoring, and proactive capacity planning across banking environments.
• Harden infrastructure environments against security vulnerabilities, maintaining strict compliance with banking cybersecurity regulations.
• Leverage AI-assisted operations tools for automated log analysis, incident correlation, runbook support and infrastructure-code review under controlled access.
• Collaborate cross-functional with core banking software developers, security officers, and enterprise architects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional experience (6 to 12+ years preferred) in banking infrastructure, cloud operations, or platform engineering.
• Proven hands-on working experience within large core banking or digital transformation enterprise environments.
• Deep, demonstrable technical expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud administration, Kubernetes, Open Shift, and Linux operating systems.
