Senior Dredging Data Engineer

- Lead the management and optimization of the on-premises server-based data infrastructure, focusing on Dredging data
- Design implement and maintain data pipelines while addressing complex data engineering problems
- Provide technical leadership within the Dev Ops team, collaborating with both junior and senior members to develop scalable, high-performance data solutions aligned with the unique demands of Dredging projects.
- Collaborate within Dev Ops team and with end-users to understand data requirements based on business and project needs
- Architect and implement scalable data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring seamless data integration across systems.
- Oversee and fine-tune data storage and retrieval mechanisms to uphold high standards of data integrity, performance, and availability
- Perform advanced data analysis and develop reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making and optimize operational performance
- Lead testing and validation processes to ensure data quality, proactively identifying and resolving data-related issues
- Stay ahead of industry trends and drive the adoption of emerging technologies to continuously improve data infrastructure and workflows
- Mentor and guide other data engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development across the team
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 07 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles, demonstrating a proven track record of designing and implementing effective data solutions
- Experience with on-premises server environments and/or cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud}
- Proficiency in programming with Python and/or Scala
- Knowledge of SQL and No
SQL data storage/retrieval technologies - Familiarity with version control systems, such as GIT
- Knowledge of RESTful AP ls and integration with front-end services
- Experience in supporting back-end development and providing data solutions for the creation and enhancement of desktop and/or web applications
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong Git Hub profile
- Familiarity with data science projects and methodologies
- Exposure to Dredging and/or Civil Engineering
