We are looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master with a strong airline background to lead agile delivery across our Booking, Post-Booking, and check-in platforms. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver customer-facing products such as reservations, ancillaries, servicing, and frequent flyer programs.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum practices, and promote continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product Owners to keep a well-groomed, prioritized backlog aligned to business goals.
- Remove impediments and manage cross-team dependencies, especially across PSS, GDS, and check-in integrations.
- Track and report delivery metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time, predictability) to leadership.
- Engage with technical discussions on architecture, APIs, and integrations to support sound delivery decisions.
- Coordinate release planning, risk management, and production readiness with engineering, QA, and Dev Ops.
- Support scaled agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums) where applicable.
- 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 4–5 years as a Scrum Master in agile software delivery.
- Strong airline domain experience, including:
- Booking: shopping, pricing, availability, reservations, payments, ancillaries
- Post-Booking: changes, cancellations, refunds, re-accommodation, check-in, servicing
- check-in: frequent flyer programs, accrual, redemption, tier management, partner integrations
- Working knowledge of airline systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or similar PSS/GDS platforms.
- Technical background in software development or engineering, with an understanding of microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, or similar tools.
- Strong facilitation, communication, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications:
CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent. - Experience with SAFe or other scaled agile frameworks.
- Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
