Dicetek LLC is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to support enterprise database infrastructure for core banking systems in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on designing, implementing, administering and maintaining mission-critical Oracle database environments supporting Oracle FLEXCUBE and related banking applications. The position requires extensive experience in Oracle database engineering, high availability, disaster recovery, replication, performance optimization and database security.

The successful candidate will contribute to core banking implementation and migration activities while maintaining database reliability and operational stability across multiple environments. Candidates should have a strong background in banking database infrastructure and hands‑on expertise with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate and enterprise backup and recovery technologies.

• Database Platform Engineering
  • Design, install, configure and administer Oracle database environments supporting FLEXCUBE and related banking systems.
  • Maintain Oracle database configurations across development, testing, production and other applicable environments.
  • Implement and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Data Guard and Golden Gate.
  • Support database high availability, disaster recovery and replication requirements for critical banking applications.
  • Manage Oracle database patching, version upgrades and configuration baselines.
  • Apply database administration practices appropriate for mission-critical banking environments.
• Backup, Recovery and Database Resilience
  • Define and execute database backup, recovery and archival strategies using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and enterprise backup tools.
  • Configure and maintain database recovery capabilities to support operational continuity.
  • Implement Oracle Data Guard and Golden Gate solutions for disaster recovery and data replication.
  • Support database availability and recovery requirements associated with core banking operations.
  • Maintain reliable backup and recovery processes for enterprise Oracle database environments.
• Database Performance and Optimization
  • Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL analysis and performance tuning.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager, Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and Active Session History (ASH) to investigate database performance.
  • Identify database performance bottlenecks and recommend technical improvements.
  • Support database configuration and performance requirements for Oracle FLEXCUBE and related applications.
  • Apply database monitoring and diagnostic tools to maintain stable and efficient operations.
• Database Security and Administration
  • Support database security controls and configuration management across Oracle environments.
  • Work with data masking and database security tools to address information protection requirements.
  • Administer Oracle database platforms running on Linux infrastructure.
  • Use shell scripting or Python to support database administration and operational automation.
  • Contribute to database platform maintenance, configuration consistency and technical issue resolution.
