Supervisor – Group Life & Personal Accident (GLPA) Underwriting

Role Purpose

To supervise the underwriting team and manage new and renewal Group Life & Personal Accident (GLPA) business in line with company guidelines, ensuring sustained profitability and achievement of budgeted targets. The role also focuses on maintaining and improving new and renewal business conversion ratios.

Key Accountabilities

• Handle daily queries from clients, brokers, and Business Development Managers related to Group Life & Personal Accident insurance.
• Conduct business reviews, underwriting analysis, quotation preparation, and reporting in compliance with departmental underwriting guidelines.
• Adhere to departmental turnaround times (TAT) while improving conversion ratios and maintaining consistent profitability.
• Prepare, review, and issue policy documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Process quotations and tender requests as per approved underwriting guidelines.
• Prepare and manage client correspondence, including letters, emails, and official communications.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth and timely policy servicing.

Minimum Qualifications & Knowledge

• Professional insurance certification is an added advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in Group Life & Personal Accident underwriting.

Job-Specific Skills

• Sound technical knowledge of Group Life & Personal Accident underwriting principles.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
