Senior Insurance Domain Consultant – Contractual Role Outsized INDIA Private Limited
Senior Insurance Domain Consultant (7-15 yrs)
Role Overview :Our client is building a finance module for a UAE insurer covering the general ledger and accounting, reinsurance, and IFRS 17 reporting. We are looking for a senior insurance domain consultant to be the bridge between the insurance and finance business and the delivery team.
This is a validation-and-translation role, not a coding role, and not an actuarial role. The actuarial estimates come from the client’s appointed actuary; your job is to make sure the system reproduces the insurance, reinsurance and IFRS 17 logic correctly, to validate that the outputs reconcile to the source, and to explain the rules clearly to developers, QA and the client’s business teams.
Key Activities:- Review and refine BRDs and FRDs, and prepare clear business and finance workflows.
- Explain the insurance and reinsurance rules and the finance calculations to the delivery team.
- Validate premium, reinsurance and IFRS 17 outputs by reconciliation to the core system and signed source documents.
- Support client meetings and workshops, and help the client’s teams work through open business points.
- Support the QA team and guide developers on the insurance and finance logic.
- Review UAT before every release, and sign off that the domain behaviour is correct.
- 5-8 years in insurance, with hands-on experience in the UAE / GCC market.
- Worked inside the Finance, Reinsurance or Actuarial function of an insurer or in a consultancy serving them.
- Owned or led a workstream on an IFRS 17 implementation.
- Hands-on experience with reinsurance accounting and treaty administration.
You will not write code, but you must be comfortable working alongside those who do, and speak their language:
- APIs and system integration.
- Business rules and BRD / FRD refinement.
- UAT design and review.
- Data mapping.
This is a 6-month contractual opportunity based on-site (hybrid) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
