The main purpose is to execute logistics administrative functions, coordinate documentation flow between the departments and provide service to the customer in the best way within given time frames. The job contributes towards a smooth logistics administrative process based on company quality and HSSE standards whilst reaching the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Schedule and coordinate imports & exports with internal departments. Execute jobs planned with an efficient continuous flow of container movement.
- Monitor and ensure a smooth flow of workable containers is issued to the Operations team and follow up with clients to resolve any issues.
- Coordinate with the Administration department ensuring all the planned jobs are available for the operations to be served. Coordinate with Stock Controller in case of stock related issues. Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure timely completion of jobs for faster turnaround of containers.
- Escalate and report all related service issues in time so that appropriate actions may be taken to avoid service failure, i.e. rejection of containers, wrong dropping, or delay in supply of containers.
- Ensure to report all rejections of containers and update reports on a daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policy and Manual procedures respecting industrial and personal safety and environmental precautions, always giving consideration to the safety of everyone. This role has the responsibility and authority to stop and report any unsafe conditions or actions that may result in an undesirable HSSE event.
- Maintain proper and polite phone manners with customers and colleagues to ensure fluent communication and understanding.
- Maintain proper record management and appropriate storage of files to ensure that required data is available upon request, i.e. Control Sheets.
- High School graduate, preferably with diplomas in logistics / shipping / export.
- 4-5 Years of Experience.
