Buyer​/Purchase Officer

Job Responsibilities

Preparation of vendor database; updating and developing new vendors; periodic review of vendor performance and maintenance of the database.

Initiate RFQ (Request for Quotation) upon receiving MRs from Projects Camp, HSE, HO Procurement.

Procurement scope includes:

• Welding consumables: electrodes, gloves, equipment, testing equipment, safety gear, PPE.
• Hardware: bolts, fasteners, paints, blasting & painting equipment, tools & tackles, masonry & carpentry tools.
• Structural and civil items: beams, plates, angles, channels, aggregate, gatch cement, garnets, readymix concrete, fence.
• Electrical items: cables, wires, distribution boards, glands, switches, lighting, cable ties.
• Camp and accommodation items: furniture, TV, AC, containers, washing machines, kitchen equipment, spares, daily household items, portacabs, PVC pipes & fittings, tea, coffee, sugar, water, cleaning agents.
• Stationary items.

Detailed comparison bid for vendor selection; coordinate with initiator of MR for technical evaluation of the offer; commercial evaluation, estimation, establishing and negotiating optimum terms and conditions; preparation of supply service purchase orders; expediting purchase orders for timely delivery; prepare reports on purchases including cost analyses; arrange payment as per PO terms coordinating with Accounts; close out of purchase orders.

Degree in Science / Commerce / Business Administration, or Diploma in Supply Chain & Material Management.

5–8 years of experience in Purchase (Oil & Gas industries preferable).

Eligibility criteria:
Experience in Pipeline / Oil & Gas / EPC / Flowline / Wellhead / Brownfield / Upstream / Onshore projects;
Gulf / ADNOC experience preferred;
Clean‑shaven policy applicable. Candidates with Metro / Building / Road Infrastructure experience are not eligible.
