The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies for their assigned category, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and supplier performance. They collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement goals with business needs and drive continuous improvement.

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking.
• Lead sourcing initiatives including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand category-specific needs.
• Monitor category spend and report on KPIs.

• Ensure compliance to all relevant management policies, procedures, and controls within the Projects division of ESA to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

Professional Experience

• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.

• Arabic (Essential/Preferred)

• % Cost Reduction Achieved vs. previous year or baseline
• Value of Cost Avoidance through negotiation or strategic sourcing
• On-Time Delivery Rate
• Supplier Quality Score (e.g., defect rate, compliance)
