As a USM Specialist, your role will be analytical, commercially driven, and operationally critical. You’ll be responsible for:
- Sourcing and procuring used serviceable material and new engine components to support engine programs and inventory strategies.
- Evaluating engine teardown opportunities, including cost-benefit analysis, yield assessments, and timing to maximise value.
- Managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of material.
- Monitoring inventory performance, identifying opportunities to optimise stock levels, reduce obsolescence, and improve asset value.
- Developing valuation models and analysing market data to support procurement decisions and pricing strategies.
- Collaborating closely with technical, commercial, and finance teams to align sourcing activity with business objectives.
We’re seeking a highly qualified candidate who possesses:
- 5–8 years of experience in aviation procurement, USM, or engine materials within an MRO or aftermarket environment.
- Strong understanding of engine components, LLPs, teardown processes, and asset valuation.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and inventory optimisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
