Role PurposeThe Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts across Wolfi’s Sport Trading product portfolio. This role ensures product availability and optimal inventory levels by analysing historical sales trends, seasonality, promotional activity, and market dynamics. The Demand Planner collaborates closely with Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and Logistics to support data‑driven planning and purchasing decisions, reduce stockouts and overstock situations, and improve supply chain efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesForecasting & Planning
- Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts at the SKU and category level using historical data and trend analysis.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Sales teams to align forecast assumptions with market intelligence and commercial plans.
- Identify demand variability and plan for seasonality, promotions, and product lifecycle changes.
- Analyse sales trends, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy to continuously improve planning processes.
- Generate regular demand planning reports and dashboards to inform supply and purchasing decisions.
- Monitor key metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
- Support inventory planning by proposing replenishment quantities and reorder strategies.
- Work closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels across the supply chain.
- Minimise excess and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and data review.
- Act as the planning liaison between Sales, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure alignment of demand with supply capabilities.
- Support product launches and promotional campaigns with accurate volume forecasts.
- Communicate forecast changes and risks proactively to stakeholders.
- Leverage ERP systems and planning tools to manage demand data and improve forecast accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes and forecasting methodologies.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and tools to support operational excellence.
- 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends into actionable insights.
- Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and demand planning software.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail and a structured, solution‑oriented mindset.
- A data‑driven individual with a passion for supply chain excellence.
