About The Role
The Logistics Officer at HALCON coordinates and supports the overall logistics process to ensure operational efficiency, quality, and successful execution of the assigned projects. The job incumbent is responsible for implementing project activities, preparing schedules, arranging transportation, tracking shipments, optimizing resources, managing inventory, building contingency plans, and maintaining the logistics database.
Responsibilities- Support in planning the set-up of project sites ensuring sufficient availability of resources; schedule upcoming tasks and activities.
- Arrange appropriate transportation to facilitate the movement of goods in compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee the process of receiving, dispatching, and storage of materials while managing information from point of origin to delivery, resolving any issues that may hamper efficient workflow.
- Track shipments to ensure they arrive on time and ensure complete documentation and authorization of all shipments to maintain accurate records.
- Utilize inventory management systems to monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels at minimum costs.
- Organize storage and oversee the repair and maintenance of the storage facility.
- Coordinate and monitor the workflow ensuring all involved in project execution (e.g., logistics operators, helpers, contractors) perform their assigned tasks at optimal capacity.
- Maintain the logistics database and prepare weekly reports related to material movements and logistics matters.
- Communicate with various stakeholders, including customers, vendors, colleagues, and key people across departments, to ensure smooth flow of information while providing regular updates on tasks.
- Prioritize work orders and organize tasks based on project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance and conformity with all legislative safety directives and regulations, including OSHA policies and protocols, to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- 3 years of extensive experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant field.
- Functional expertise of a Logistics ERP system.
- Advanced knowledge of safety regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
