Responsibilities
Manage the spare parts inventory including ordering, stocking and replenishing parts to ensure availability for repair and maintenance needs. Develop and implement inventory management procedures to optimize stock levels, minimize obsolescence and reduce costs. Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times and terms for spare parts procurement. Monitor parts usage, track inventory levels and generate reports to analyze trends and forecast future demand.
Work closely with service technicians, engineers and other departments to identify spare parts requirements and ensure timely delivery.
Receive, inspect and verify incoming spare parts shipments for accuracy and quality. Maintain organized inventory storage including labeling, shelving and documentation of parts location. Pick, pack and prepare spare parts orders for shipment ensuring proper packaging and labeling. Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, providing product information, pricing and technical support as needed. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and quotations to customers addressing their specific needs and requirements.
Qualifications- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in spare parts operations (preferably in the marine industry).
- Knowledge of parts catalogues, inventory systems and SAP software.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
