We are seeking an experienced Lead Procurement Engineer to lead and manage procurement activities across major EPC projects within the Oil & Gas, Power, Marine, Civil, and Industrial Plant sectors. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient sourcing, purchasing, contract administration, supplier management, and delivery of critical materials, equipment, and services while maintaining compliance, quality, budget, and project schedules.

YOUR ROLE

As Lead Procurement Engineer you will

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Finance teams to optimize procurement outcomes.
  • Support procurement planning across multiple business units, including Oil & Gas, Power, Marine, Civil, and Plant Projects.
Procurement Process Management
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement cycle from requisition to delivery.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify, prequalify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery commitments.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans where required.
  • Provide regular progress reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Contract Management
  • Lead the preparation, negotiation, award, and administration of procurement contracts.
  • Monitor supplier and contractor compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Resolve contractual and commercial issues proactively to minimize project risks.
Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Collaborate with Finance and Project Teams to establish procurement budgets.
  • Implement cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives without compromising project quality or delivery.
  • Monitor procurement expenditures and manage budget variations effectively.
  • Identify procurement-related risks including supply chain disruptions, delays, cost escalations, and quality concerns.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to support uninterrupted project execution.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination
  • Ensure the availability of materials and equipment in accordance with project schedules.
  • Coordinate logistics, shipping, and delivery activities to project sites.
  • Support effective inventory management and material tracking processes.
MIS Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and schedules.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports, performance metrics, and status updates to management.
  • Ensure timely reporting through ERP and Management Information Systems.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop procurement professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee development and professional certification initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the key interface between internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure procurement objectives are achieved.
