Clearance Coordinator

Job description

• Prepare, verify, and submit customs clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and required permits.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and UAE customs authorities to facilitate smooth shipment clearance.
• Follow up on shipments and resolve documentation discrepancies or customs queries promptly.
• Track shipment ETAs and coordinate clearance activities to minimize delays, demurrage, and storage charges.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse team regarding the timing and receipt of cleared shipments.
• Maintain accurate customs and clearance records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs and import/export requirements.
• Monitor and report clearance status, delays, and potential issues to the Logistics Manager.
• Support the Logistics team with other customs and clearance-related activities as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field
  .
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or a similar logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and import/export documentation
  .
• Good understanding of shipping and clearance processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and follow-up skills.
• Experience using ERP systems and/or customs clearance platforms
  .
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Fluent English is required;
  Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow up effectively with multiple stakeholders.
