The Senior Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and monitoring import and export shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods while meeting customs, permit, and documentation requirements. The role works closely with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, transporters, customs clearance teams, Finance, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.

• Coordinate import and export shipment schedules with suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders.
• Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate customs clearance requirements, permits, NOCs, and shipping documentation.
• Prepare and review logistics documents including invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, and clearance/transportation letters.
• Coordinate with shipping agents on vessel schedules, delivery orders, and clearance requirements.
• Negotiate freight rates and free periods to minimize demurrage and storage costs.
• Arrange third-party transportation and logistics support as required.
• Support export shipments by obtaining competitive freight quotations.
• Coordinate with Finance on shipment and clearance-related payments.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Support logistics budget preparation and monitoring.
• Ensure cost-effective and on-time delivery of outbound shipments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related function.
• Hands-on experience with import/export shipments and customs clearance processes.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping agents, transporters, and suppliers.
• Good knowledge of shipping and logistics documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong written and spoken English.

• Previous experience in a Senior Logistics Officer, supervisory, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of customs permits, clearance requirements, and international shipping processes.
• Experience negotiating freight rates and terms with logistics service providers.
• Master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
