Logistics Manager – Construction | Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced Logistics Manager – Construction for a large-scale, fast-track construction project in Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi
. The role involves managing site logistics, material movement, delivery planning, site access, traffic management, inventory control, heavy transportation, customs coordination, and site facilities.
Practical construction-site logistics experience is essential. Candidates with only general warehouse or non-construction logistics experience may not be suitable.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage the site logistics plan
, including access routes, haul roads, laydown areas, and offloading zones. - Coordinate the timely delivery, movement, and storage of materials and equipment.
- Manage site traffic, vehicle movements, and pedestrian safety.
- Coordinate heavy and oversized transportation, including route surveys, permits, and escorts.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
- Manage import documentation and customs clearance when required.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate logistics records.
- Oversee waste removal, site facilities, security, and access control.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and local regulations.
- Supervise the logistics team and resolve delivery and operational delays.
- Prepare logistics reports and provide regular updates to project management.
- 10+ years of construction logistics experience.
- Significant construction-site logistics experience, preferably with a main contractor.
- Middle East construction experience is required.
- Experience with large-scale or fast-track construction projects.
- Knowledge of heavy and oversized transport, route planning, permits, and escorts.
- Understanding of import and customs-clearance procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse or logistics management systems.
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of transport, lifting, and site-traffic safety requirements.
