AirQ is looking for an experienced Demand & Supply Planner to support our Supply Chain function and ensure the right balance between customer demand, production capacity, inventory, and supplier capabilities to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
The Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for balancing customer demand, production capacity, inventory, and supplier capabilities to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role focuses on demand forecasting, material planning, production planning, inventory optimization, and supplier coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Demand Planning- Build and maintain the demand forecast using historical consumption, requester inputs and known projects or events.
- Collect and validate demand from internal requesters; challenge unrealistic or incomplete requirements.
- Track forecast accuracy and bias, investigate gaps and adjust models and assumptions.
- Maintain demand master data (items, units of measure, lead times, consumption patterns).
- Consolidate demand from Sales, Production, R&D, and other relevant functions.
- Identify demand fluctuations, risks, and potential shortages.
- Translate the demand forecast into a time-phased supply requirement.
- Prepare material and supply plans based on the production schedule, BOM, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and capacity.
- Ensure materials are available in the right quantity and at the required time to support production.
- Monitor open orders, expedite late deliveries and resolve shortages, quality or quantity issues.
- Identify material shortages and develop recovery plans.
- Define and periodically review Min/Max, Safety Stock, Re Order Qty, Reorder Points, and PO Cycles based on actual consumption and lead times.
- Support automated replenishment and MRP processes.
- Coordinate with Production to align production capacity with demand.
- Monitor production capacity, bottlenecks, and constraints.
- Re-plan when there are changes in demand, material availability, production capacity, or supplier performance.
- Provide Procurement with material requirements and planned order quantities.
- Coordinate supplier lead times, capacity, MOQ, delivery schedules, and critical material requirements.
- Monitor supplier commitments and elevate potential delivery risks.
- Support procurement with supplier performance data for reviews, sourcing and contract decisions.
- Monitor inventory levels, aging, excess, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
- Keep inventory within agreed targets while protecting service levels.
- Optimize inventory while maintaining required production coverage.
- Analyze inventory against demand, lead time, MOQ, and safety-stock requirements.
- Support inventory reduction and working-capital improvement initiatives.
- Maintain planning parameters and master data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Monitor KPIs such as:
- Forecast Accuracy
- Material Availability
- Production Plan Adherence
- Stockout Rate
- Excess & Obsolete Inventory
- Schedule Adherence
- Prepare regular demand, supply, inventory, and shortage reports.
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Engineering/R&D, and Quality.
