JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for raising and lowering downhole tools (e.g. bailers, pulling tools, stems and running tools) with a wire cable to test and maintain wells. Retrieve and install valves, plugs and pressure regulators. Lower and raise downhole tools and plugs to proper depth and direct the fishing tools used to retrieve broken or lost wire or equipment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Job Specific Accountabilities
- Interact with third parties whose activities could negatively impact slickline job execution process to ensure proper coordination.
- Consult with customers about products and services and promote good customer relations on site.
- Rig‑up equipment in accordance with accepted procedures.
- Ensure relevant data is recorded and collected.
- Use weight indicator gauges and depth counters to monitor the tension and depth of the slickline.
- Perform on‑site emergency unit / equipment maintenance.
- Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor.
- Attends weekly Safety Meetings.
- Review, understand and implement operational (OS), and technical standards including other company requirements for each task performed.
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
- Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.
Provide on‑job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
Tool BoxMaintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition. Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
Time ManagementCarry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards. Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.
Innovation and Continuous ImprovementContribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and SustainabilitySupport the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.
HousekeepingMaintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports- Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
- Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
Internal
- Regular contacts with all Supervisors and Operators for follow‑up on slickline services.
- Regular contact with Team Leaders in other departments.
- Regular contact with clients to discuss slickline services and HSE matters.
SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent computer skills.
