What You Will Do
The HVAC Environmental Control Unit Field Technician is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the PATRIOT Environmental Control cooling unit on the Engagement Control Station (ECS), Information and Coordination Center (ICC), Communications Relay Group (CRG), and Battery Battalion Maintenance Center (BMC). The technician will utilize the UAE Central Maintenance Facility test equipment for the repair and maintenance of environmental control units that are evacuated to the CMF.
The Technician provides technical assistance when requested by the Patriot Fire Unit and Battalion and assists with equipment exchanges. The technician supports the testing operation and repair of all Environmental Control Units, and may also support the testing and repair of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Environmental Control Units. The technician interfaces with equipment manufacturers for follow‑on support on a required basis.
This position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The assignment is short‑term only.
Qualifications You Must Have- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of hands‑on knowledge and experience operating, maintaining, sustaining, and debugging HVAC Environmental Control Units.
- HVAC Certification.
- Must be able to work in extreme desert heat environments and lift 50 pounds.
- Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
- Experience living and working in an overseas location.
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
