BMS​/DCIM Operator

The Data Center Facilities BMS DCIM Operator is responsible for supervising and controlling the operation of the building management system (BMS) and the DCIM system. The role involves monitoring all electrical, ELV, fire life safety equipment and HVAC plant activities to maintain peak efficiency and ensure mission‑critical servers achieve better than 99.999% uptime.

• Operates and maintains the BMS, monitoring the DCIM against approved benchmarks for HVAC, lighting, fire suppression, generator, plumbing and electrical.
• Carriers out routine checks for correct operation of all control equipment as directed by the Facility Engineer.
• Monitors HVAC control systems using the BMS/DCIM, adjusts variables and ensures systems operate within parameters.
• Monitors and records HVAC values to build a database for energy‑efficiency improvements.
• Communicates all maintenance and repair actions in writing for management.
• Follows protocols for unexpected technical difficulties and other problems.
• Monitors and verifies operation of all BMS/DCIM field devices, adjusting settings to meet changing conditions (load, environmental, customer needs).
• Records maintenance data and generates reports as needed.
• Maintains job‑card documentation for all alarms or changes to systems and equipment.
• Monitors fire detection alarm systems (smoke detector, heat detector, sprinkler, emergency exit) in coordination with Safety.
• Monitors water‑tank supply level alarms, air‑handling and fresh‑air units.
• Monitors and controls fire‑pump motors, sewage pump, electrical and water systems in the Data Center building.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Facility Engineer.
• Daily checks the health of all facility equipment and keeps logs of maintenance functions.
• Creates job cards in CAFM FSI Mobile App per site requirements and closes cards assigned by the Engineer.
• Responds promptly to emergency calls.
• Reviews and understands equipment and methods of operation (electrical systems, ELV, fire life safety, etc.).
• Complies with all safety procedures and requirements.
• Supports after‑hours building needs and activities as required.
• Attends training sessions and seminars.

• 2‑3 years BMS/DCIM Operator experience in Data Center maintenance/operations.
• 5+ years total experience in BMS/DCIM.
• Working knowledge of electrical & ELV systems, including secondary distribution and HVAC interior systems.
• Ability to read CAD drawings, single‑line diagrams, and rough shop drawings.
• Strong knowledge in multiple skilled trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Ability to analyze infrastructure systems, determine causes of problems, and take corrective actions.
• Trained and experienced in BMS/DCIM operation.
• Vigilant with attention to detail.
• Excellent computer operation skills.
• Ability to deal with emergency situations calmly.
• Integrity, commitment, and courtesy.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

• Good English communication knowledge required.
• Good working knowledge of PC systems and CAFM Mobile Apps.
