Job Description
The role of the Hard Services officer will be to manage, monitor and review the services provided by the third‑party service providers. The candidate is required to have sound knowledge in the MEP systems to support the delivery of professional and high‑quality building and engineering facilities services by overseeing and monitoring the performance and adherence to SLAs of third‑party contractors, vendors, service providers, as well as conducting small maintenance projects.
Responsibilities- Operational Readiness Phase:
- Will be part of the Operational Readiness Team and will execute all tasks assigned by the Hard Services Specialist, according to the Operational Readiness Plan’s work streams such as Construction Handover, Procurement and Contracting, Operations Management, CAFM implementation, etc.
- Steady State Operations:
- Provide technical expertise to ensure efficient operation of the system and its maintenance.
- Review and amend the PPM checklist aligning with best industry practices and experience.
- Assist Hard FM Specialists to develop, review, and follow up on day‑to‑day maintenance activities based on the PPM schedule and corrective maintenance work orders in the CAFM system.
- Carry out quantifiable inspections strategically aligned to cover all the inspections of the assets over a period of one year.
- Assist the Hard FM specialist to develop innovative methodologies and adapt a zero‑breakdown plan in the maintenance strategy.
- Ensure implementation of root cause analysis and condition‑based maintenance, predictive maintenance to make maintenance efficient and reliable.
- Assist Hard FM specialist to develop scope of work and BOQs for all additional and on‑demand works.
- Prepare performance‑management reports and participate in service provider review meetings.
- Monitor work done by external contractors to ensure adherence to the museum’s standards and health and safety requirements.
- Communicate and ensure a collaborative environment of high‑performance teamwork with outsourced maintenance teams, facilities staff, environment health and safety staff, consultants, and contractors.
- Coordinate with internal supply management to develop project sourcing strategy and research the market for qualified suppliers of materials and services.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for management approval.
- Keep detailed records regarding maintenance activities.
- Assist with handling of contract administration, including responding to requests for variations and claims.
Minimum of 0–2 years of experience. Experience in unique facilities with challenging environments, where the candidate’s expertise, knowledge and attitude have been tested.
Required Education / QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering.
