About the Role

Join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates as a Public Area Attendant. We’re looking for enthusiastic and detail‑oriented professionals to maintain the exceptional cleanliness and presentation of our public spaces. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for all our guests and visitors. Your dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and your friendly, professional approach will directly contribute to delivering outstanding experiences and making a lasting positive impression.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards across all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, dining areas, function spaces and common areas.
  • Perform thorough cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, polishing and wiping down surfaces to ensure spotless, well‑presented spaces.
  • Restock and organize housekeeping inventory levels, including linens, cleaning supplies, amenities and chemicals, ensuring adequate supplies are always available.
  • Promptly identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors, demonstrating your commitment to a flawless guest experience.
  • Interact with guests and colleagues in a friendly, approachable and professional manner, providing efficient and courteous service at all times.
  • Follow all safety protocols and proper procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a secure environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily cleaning objectives and support departmental goals in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Cooperate and comply with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island in regards to OSH instructions and safe working procedures.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves, environment and others at work.
  • Do not adversely interfere with anything provided for OSH or in place to control OSH risks.
  • Cooperate with the organization with respect to actions and/or actions taken to protect the employee.
  • Follow OSHMS procedures as applicable; raise identified OSH issues with designated persons and take part in OSH consulting.
  • Report all near‑miss, hazard, unsafe conditions or act, use appropriate PPE and safety systems, be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Attend OSH training as required; maintain all OSHMS records.
  • Implement sustainability policies and procedures within the department as per ESG company targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure department‑specific environmental SOPs and procedures are followed; monitor daily practices related to waste segregation, energy and water use.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, energy and water efficiency improvements.
  • Report environmental issues, non‑compliance or improvement opportunities to management.
  • Ensure new colleagues receive environmental and sustainability orientation; participate in a hotel‑relevant CSR activity.
Accountability

Held accountable to take care of his own health and safety, as well as others in the workplace that may be affected by his acts or omissions mitted to complying with the company’s OSHMS policies and all operational works instructions and relevant legislation.
