Duties & Responsibilities- Read blueprints/drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces together
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Inspect welds and ensure they meet quality standards
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Must have basic knowledge of welding processes and techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be detail oriented and have strong problem solving skills.
