Facility Technician

AirQ is looking for a Facility Technician to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of our facilities. The role will provide hands-on technical support for facility maintenance, repairs, renovation activities, asset tracking, contractor coordination, and general facility operations.

The successful candidate will be practical, technically capable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while coordinating closely with the Facilities and Operations teams.

• Perform routine inspections of office, workshop, warehouse, and facility areas.
• Carry out general maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and basic building maintenance works.
• Identify facility defects, maintenance requirements, and potential safety issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Maintain facility equipment, tools, fixtures, fittings, and infrastructure in good working condition.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and scheduled facility inspections.

• Provide hands‑on support during renovation, modification, and improvement projects.
• Coordinate and follow up on repair and maintenance activities.
• Assist with installation, relocation, modification, and dismantling of facility equipment and fixtures.
• Ensure maintenance and renovation work is completed according to required quality and safety standards.
• Report any technical issues, delays, or additional maintenance requirements to the responsible manager.

• Coordinate with external maintenance contractors and service providers.
• Monitor contractor activities while they are working within company facilities.
• Ensure contractors follow site safety procedures and company requirements.
• Verify completion of assigned maintenance and repair works.
• Follow up on pending maintenance jobs and ensure timely closure.

• Maintain accurate records of facility assets, equipment, tools, and maintenance activities.
• Support asset tagging, tracking, and periodic verification.
• Monitor the condition of facility equipment and report replacement or repair requirements.
• Assist with maintaining facility-related documentation and maintenance records.

• Support the Facilities team with day‑to‑day operational requirements.
• Assist with warehouse, workshop, office, and common‑area maintenance.
• Ensure facilities are clean, functional, safe, and properly maintained.
• Support emergency maintenance requirements when necessary.
• Carry out other facilities‑related tasks assigned by management.

• Diploma, ITI, vocational qualification, or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or a similar technical role.
• Practical knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance activities.
• Experience working with maintenance tools and basic equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine facility‑related issues.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and external service providers is an advantage.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing hands‑on maintenance activities.
• UAE experience is preferred.
