Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of facilities, equipment, and machinery. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, resource planning, cost control, safety compliance, and continuous improvement to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operational performance.

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily maintenance activities for facilities, equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate equipment inspections, servicing, repairs, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance budgets, control operating expenses, and optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, materials, and maintenance equipment.
• Establish maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work order management processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, equipment standards, workplace safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Investigate equipment breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor maintenance performance indicators (KPIs), equipment downtime, repair costs, and maintenance efficiency.
• Coordinate with operations, production, engineering, procurement, and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
• Oversee facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building services where applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, operational safety, and maintenance productivity.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, forecasts, and improvement proposals for management review.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance operations, facilities management, engineering, or a similar role.
• Previous experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractors.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and repair procedures.
• Experience in maintenance planning, budget management, spare parts control, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance reporting tools.
• Good understanding of workplace safety, risk assessment, and maintenance quality standards.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to respond effectively to equipment failures and urgent maintenance requirements.
• Relevant technical certifications or professional qualifications are an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
