Job Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and executing complex projects, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency. They will successfully lead and deliver programs and projects on time, within scope, budget, and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring clear communication channels across all stakeholders.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory bodies, and cross‑functional teams, to understand project requirements, expectations, and priorities.
- Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing concerns, managing expectations, and providing regular project updates and status reports.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, leveraging best practices and industry standards to ensure compliance with project requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and escalation protocols to address project challenges and minimize potential disruptions.
- Ensure completion of Statement of Work as per contractual terms (Engagement Letter (EL), Call‑off Order, Purchase Order (PO), SLA).
- Oversee resource allocation and utilization, including project team members, vendors, and external consultants, to optimize productivity and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure cost‑effectiveness and alignment with financial targets.
- Establish and maintain project management processes, methodologies, and tools to promote consistency, transparency, and accountability across projects.
- Conduct regular project reviews, performance evaluations, and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance project outcomes and delivery efficiency.
- Create and update PMO‑specific templates, policies, and procedures.
- Mentor new PMO members, guiding them on organization and PMO policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Share information with the PMO team about lessons learned on projects for the overall benefit of the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 8+ years of experience performing a senior project‑management role on defense and security projects in top organizations. Experience across the Middle East would be advantageous.
- PMP Certification or similar preferred.
