The Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day‑to‑day operations of the assigned area, coordinating training for all platform teams to ensure policy awareness, and managing incident sites to maintain safety standards.
Implement day‑to‑day operations of the assigned section to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.Schedule and plan activities for subordinates, ensuring optimal allocation of manpower and resources to achieve maintenance targets for the area.Collect and maintain the latest version of technical/OEM manuals to ensure updates in calibration techniques are available.Monitor plans, and notify and follow up with end‑users in the respective area when required.Liaise with supply chain to ensure equipment is sent manufacturers/vendors and/or international laboratories for timely external calibration.Support internal and external audits of the department to ensure implementation of the QMS.Provide required data and perform corrective actions to resolve non‑conformities identified during audits.Support effective management and development of department policies to ensure compliant operation.Initiate selection and purchasing process for appropriate standards and equipment.Add human capital capabilities to the department through recruitment.Organize and supervise activities and work of direct reports to ensure all work is completed to required standards and aligns with GAL operating policies and procedureslinLiaise with supply chain management for procurement of specialized equipment to address department and customer requirements, ensuring department operations.Provide on‑the‑job training, constructive feedback, and performance reviews to subordinates to support their overall development.Act as a technical expert during problem resolution, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimizing downtime.Support and develop opportunities to encourage knowledge and skill transfer to the UAE National workforce.Regularly report on the performance of assigned tasks and their results.Prepare statements and reports timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards.Examine current operational processes to identify and implement potential improvements that positively impact service, safety, environmental and cost performance.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across Maintenance Operations at the facility to guarantee employee safety and high‑quality aircraft maintenance service.Sponsor opportunities to partake in change initiatives, programs and projects reflecting international best practices and changes in the competitive environment.Ensure direct reports adhere to and support all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies and promote a responsible environmental attitude.Implement day‐to‐day operations in the section to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.#J-18808-Ljbffr
