Role OverviewThe Senior Materials & Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all procurement and materials management activities across major contracting projects, including civil, infrastructure, and luxury residential developments. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep contracting experience who can ensure cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and strict compliance with project specifications and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Leadership- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and organizational objectives.
- Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Establish long-term supplier relationships to support large-scale contracting operations.
- Oversee materials planning, sourcing, and logistics to ensure timely availability of construction resources.
- Coordinate closely with design, engineering, and site teams to align procurement with project schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize material usage to reduce waste and costs.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with UAE regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Implement transparent reporting and documentation in line with project governance frameworks.
- Manage procurement budgets with financial discipline and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, vendor performance, and material quality.
- Resolve procurement and logistics issues promptly to avoid project delays.
- Contribute to value engineering initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Build and lead a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for procurement professionals.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Proven track record in senior procurement and materials management roles within contracting, construction, or infrastructure organizations.
- Strong expertise in sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations for large-scale projects.
- Excellent knowledge of UAE market dynamics, construction materials, and international procurement practices.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment with a focus on financial discipline and transparency.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration;
Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS) preferred.
