Project Director

The Project Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale projects. This position leads multidisciplinary project teams, sets project objectives, defines scope, and manages budgets and timelines. The Project Director coordinates with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day activities include monitoring project progress, managing risks and issues, approving key deliverables, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.

The role also involves preparing status reports for senior leadership, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing best practices in project management and team leadership.

• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience as a Project Director in UAE
• Demonstrated expertise in project leadership, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex initiatives.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and documentation, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and scope.
• Experience in risk assessment, issue resolution, and quality assurance within a structured, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proven people management capabilities, including team mentoring, performance oversight, and conflict resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is an asset.
• Prior experience in directing large projects in Abu Dhabi or the broader region, with familiarity with local regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to work on-site full time, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity.
