Director - Project Management

We are seeking a Director to lead the Project Management function and drive the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. This role involves overseeing complex projects, establishing effective governance, and managing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.

• Lead the Project Management function, establishing governance and controls for the project portfolio.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop project portfolios, schedules, budgets, and resource plans, managing key milestones.
• Enhance PMO standards, methodologies, and reporting mechanisms, ensuring project controls.
• Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, dependencies, and budget status.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring timely mitigation.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, financial, and operational requirements, monitoring performance.
• Drive effective resource allocation and prioritization across projects and business demands.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through lessons learned and project performance analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong professional proficiency in English, with Arabic as an added advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant project management experience, including complex projects.
• Proven senior project leadership or PMO experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.
• Experience in managing senior stakeholders and providing executive-level reporting.
• Track record of delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from planning to handover.
