Steel Production Supervisor

Job Summary

The Steel Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring the efficient manufacturing of steel products while maintaining high safety, quality, and performance standards. This role involves supervising production teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

• Supervise and coordinate steel production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead, train, and develop production staff to ensure high performance, safety, and operational excellence.
• Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal functioning and minimal downtime of production equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, generate reports, and collaborate with planning teams to align production schedules.
• Address operational issues, resolve production bottlenecks, and ensure smooth workflow.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to achieve production goals.
• Support lean manufacturing principles, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Strong understanding of steel production methods, including melting, casting, rolling, and finishing.
• In-depth knowledge of workplace safety standards and industry regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and enhance workforce productivity.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production challenges efficiently.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Minimum 3 years working experience, 2 years relevant working experience, 1 year GCC experience is a plus.
