We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fabricator to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating, assembling, and repairing various steel structures and products according to blueprints and specifications.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements
- Cut, shape, and form steel parts using various tools and equipment, including welding machines, grinders, and cutting torches
- Assemble steel components through welding, bolting, or riveting to create finished products
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all fabricated items meet specifications and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, reporting any malfunctions or needed repairs
- Adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively
- Work in potentially challenging environmental conditions, including high temperatures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS) preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in steel fabrication
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding
- Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Strong knowledge of measuring and cutting tools, as well as metal fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Basic understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and structural engineering principles
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
- Ability to work in hot climate conditions
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
